Who We Are

My name is Dana Vasquez, I am CEO and Founder of The Honored Widow. I became a widow on March 30, 2025 when my husband of almost 20yrs decided to end his life. The night he went missing the earth came to a shattering hault. For 12 hours we desperately tried to find him in fog and in rain. I held on to hope praying without ceasing and with expectation that we would find him in time, but my hope was later met with the harsh reality that we were too late when I saw the detectives approaching my home to confirm the horrific news we so badly were hoping was not true. Although my girls and I don’t have all the answers, we know God does and if/when he feels we’re ready for the truth he’ll tell us and if not we are at peace in knowing it’s for our own good. We do not blame God for the decision my husband made for only God knows what’s truly in someone’s heart. We know He is with us, He draws near to the broken hearted and He will heal our wounds. There is hope in our future and brighter days ahead. God is still faithful no matter what our circumstances look like. You’re never alone. If it weren’t for my faith and allowing God to comfort my girls and I in this time of distress I honestly don’t know where I would be. As time goes on and I continue to heal, my prayer is and will always be for God to take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it around for good by using me to help others.

The enemy wants you to feel isolated, depressed and hopeless in times of tragedy but God says he will not leave you or forsake you, he came to set the captives free and he came to give you a hope and a future. Here at The Honored Widow, we are family and we honor you.
