Clinical Trial for Broken Heart Syndrome

As of May 2026 a new clinical trial is now available to a select few who have been affected with Takotsubo (aka Broken Heart Syndrome). 1,000 patients from 40 different hospitals in the UK will be able to be studied and monitored with the help of Renin-Angiotensin inhibitors (RAS used to treat Advanced Kidney Disease) to see if they can help with the prevention of death, heart attacks, strokes and heart failure after triggering of sudden emotional distress from the loss of a loved one.

Inhibitor definition- Molecules or agents that slow down, decrease, or completely block specific chemical reactions or biological processes.

I am not against doctors or medicine, I can only attest to my experience. In 2020 I was prescribed SSRI’s for depression and anxiety. 3 weeks later I found myself in the emergency room with panic attacks and heart palpitations. I was prescribed Xanax and Lorazepam to counteract the reaction I was having to the medication. A few days later I was completely suicidal. For 4 months I battled with taking my own life. From day 1 of these intrusive thoughts I poured my heart out to God and asked Him to help me. It was obvious the help I was trying to get was making symptoms 1000 times worse but my Dr never told me the negative side effects of these specific SSRI’s. Perhaps had I known I would have weighed my options more differently. Day and night night and day I slept with Gods word. It was the only thing that kept me at peace. This lasted a little over a year and was one of the most difficult trials I had ever been through at the time.

Any time I see Inhibitors it makes me ask the question, is the solution worse than the problem? If I could turn back time I wish I would have taken my problems to the Lord first. He can easily take away my symptoms, he says so in his word

1 Peter 5:7 Cast all of your anxiety on Him because He cares for you

Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done. Then you will experience Gods peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Jesus Christ.

Again I am not against doctors or medication, I believe there is a time and a place for them. If you do choose to go the medication route continue asking the Lord to heal whatever symptoms you are feeling and let His spirit guide you on when to come off of it. The Lord wants you healed and He will meet you wherever your F

God says:

Psalm 147:3 He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.

Hebrews 13:5 I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.

Isaiah 61:3 He gives beauty for ashes, oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.

We are here to help build your trust in God, heal ALL your wounds and encourage you as you move forward on this new journey.
